Q: Can I straighten my hair if I am pregnant?

A: Yes, but I suggest not during the first trimester as you may be sensitive to fumes. 

Q: Can I do it if my hair is colored or highlighted?

A: Yes for one process colored hair. If you hair is highlighted I would advise that we perform a strand test to determine the strength of your hair (strand tests are free of charge). 

Q: Can I do it if I am taking antibiotics?

A: If you are taking antibiotics for a short period of time it is not a problem, however; if you are taking antibiotics on a long term basis it is not a good idea because there is a possibility that your hair may become dry and brittle.

Q: Can I have straightening and hair extensions at the same time?

A: That depends upon the condition of your hair after you have it straightened and the type of extensions that you plan on getting. 

Q: Will it damage my hair?

A: Not if the hair extensions are done by a trained professional who knows what they are doing. (A consultation is always advised). 

Q: How much will permanent hair straightening cost?

A: Hair straightening starts at $400 for shoulder length hair. Prices increase according to hair length. 

Q: How long will it take?

A: Depending upon the length of your hair, it can take between 3 to 4 hours.

Q: How often do I have to do it?

A: Depending upon your roots; you will need a touch-up every 4 to 6 months.

Q: How will I take care of my hair following permanent straightening?

A: You will care for you hair by using proper moisturizing shampoo and a deep conditioner. A leave-in conditioner is always a good idea. Also, an ionic treatment, once a month, is advised especially if the hair is color treated.
